Children's Golf Classic

Event Description

The 19th Annual Children’s Golf Classic is the premier charity golf tournament for The Salvation Army. In the past 18 years, the tournament has raised more than $1.4 million to support emergency shelter services for families with children.

Proceeds from the golf outing will benefit The Salvation Army's youth programs, including camp, after-school programs and music education for disadvantaged children and teens in the Austin area, as well as shelter for families in crisis.

In 2013, our Social Services Center provided emergency lodging and supportive services to 607 children and 2,490 women, and 4,688 individuals. Of those served, 66% percent were women and children.

Organized by a group of community-minded volunteers, the goal of the tournament is to provide an opportunity for others to give back and have fun while doing it. An average of $0.82 of every dollar raised has gone to direct services. These funds impact countless numbers of children and families through a variety of programs and care provided by The Salvation Army.

We welcome your participation and help in meeting our $100,000 goal. Funds from the 2014 tournament will support initiatives to fulfill the needs of children and families in need of emergency shelter care.

Golf Tournament Format

Team sponsorships are $800.00 for a four player team.

This year the tournament continues with its Super-Mulligan Package (cost per Team is $120) consisting of two Super-Mulligans, one for each nine holes, four regular Mulligans per team, Drive Like Tiger Par 5s, Par is Your Friend, two Birdie Par 3s, two Rotating Hit Par 4s and participation in Putting and Chipping contests.
